Day 03- 4th Dec 2019. (Approximately 70 KM 1 ½ Hours Drive)

Day 04 -15th Dec 2019.

  • We will comfortably schedule a tour to the historical 2nd capital of Sri Lanka Polonnaruwa, which thrived during the 11th -13th centuries AD. The royal place, Gal Vihare (three splendid statues of the Buddha carved out of a rock, Lotus Bath and the Museum Quadrangle (included several historical buildings and temples) are sure to be fascinating visits and will offer Pilgrims a complete story of the ancient lay of the land and Buddhism in Sri Lanka (Approximately 70 KM 1 ½ Hours Drive)
  • Return back to the hotel in Dambulla

  • En route visit Mathale Alu vihare - The history of Aluvihare Rock Temple is traced back to the 3rd Century B.C to the reign of King Devanampiyatissa. It is believed that the King built the dagoba, planted the Bo sapling and founded the temple after the introduction of Buddhism to the country during his reign.
  • En route to Kandy we will stop at the Matale Spice Gardens. This is excellent places to understand the ancient ways of preparing traditional Ayurvedic medicines and also to stock up on your Sri Lankan Spices.

  • Evening we will travel to explore the city of Kandy Tour. Kandy is the last bastion of Buddhist political power against colonial forces, the home of the Temple of the Buddha’s Tooth Relic, and the site of the island’s most impressive annual festival, Kandy Esala Perahera. Day 06- 17th Dec 2019. (Approximately 100 KM 2 1/2 Hours Drive

Day 07- 18th Dec 2019. (Approximately 90 KM 3 ½ Hours Drive)

  • After breakfast proceed to Hatton
  • Proceed to Hatton
  • On arrival check into your hotel and rest for the evening. Leisurely, you will check in at a roadside guest house close to the base of the peak rest a bit and get early sleep.
  • Proceed to the base of Sri Pada (Adams Peak) where you will start your climb towards the early morning (approx 01 AM). You will be climbing during the early morning to reach the summit in time to witness the breathtaking first rays of light that will hit the island from the east coast at the break of day. (Season will be December to May). Sri Pada is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall conical mountain located in central Sri Lanka. It is well known for the Sri Pada, "sacred footprint", a 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit, which in Buddhist tradition is held to be the footprint of the Buddha.

Day 08- 19th Dec 2019. (Approximately 40 KM 2 Hours Drive)

  • Leisurely climb down. We expect you to reach the hotel by 11.30 am.
  • Leisurely proceed to Nuwara Eliya
  • Nuwara Eliya, because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lanka's most popular hill resort. Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing a significant share of the world renowned Ceylon tea. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Nuwara-Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia.On arrival check in to your hotel and enjoy of this quaint old hill country

Day 09- 20th Dec 2019. (Approximately 170 KM 5 ½ Hours Drive)

  • After breakfast proceed to Colombo
  • En route visit Kalaniya Raja Maha Vihare
  • Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihare Temple, which lord Buddha had visited to solve the dispute between 2 brothers, Cholodara & Mahodara. This temple is an ancient temple and is one of the holiest temples in Sri Lanka.
  • Check in to your hotel in Colombo
  • Overnight accommodation in Colombo.

Day 10- 21st Dec 2019. (Approximately 40 KM 1 Hours Drive)

  • After the breakfast proceeds Colombo International Airport for departure transfer.
  • Airport authorities recommend passengers to check-in at the airport counters 3 hour prior to departure
  • If time permit you can do a sightseeing of the Colombo city
  • And also enjoy a rewarding Colombo Shopping Tour and stop up on some bargain souvenirs to take home.
